Inviting Hische License Plates

We convinced dozens of people to change their Pennsylvania Department of Transportation vehicle registrations to compose an invitation to letterer/illustrator Jessica Hische across a series of 27 custom Pennsylvania license plates.

We captured images of the participants and their new plates for a web site-based invitation to Jessica: Within minutes of the tweet to @jessicahische she replied - "I AM CRYING! YOU MADE ME CRY!," "and the answer of course is YES! I will marry you! I mean come to Pennsylvania."

Aside from the tens of thousands of tweets and Facebook posts, dozens of blog articles, and media requests from around the globe, the project resulted in a Society of Design event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 14, 2013 that attracted more than 500 attendees from eight states and more than twenty colleges.

Armstrong & Bruce

The range of projects we've tackled is expansive - everthing from collateral, interactive, labeling, merchandising, packaging, POP, sampling, and tradeshow design to identity work and development of overall branding systems.

We've produced work for the commercial flooring market that speaks to architects and designers and have also developed hundreds of residential flooring projects that focus on the consumer market, including big box retailers.

The work has received recognition for its creative effectiveness, including selection for several Graphis annuals and four Rebrand awards (2007, 2009, 2010, and 2012).

Work that gets noticed.
